The District of Ohio (Alpha Ohio) operates under Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first intercollegiate historically African American Greek-letter organization. Embracing the core fraternity values of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind, the district is structured around a central strategic vision to advance, ignite, and elevate its communities. The organization primarily focuses on cultivating robust civic engagement, developing systemic leadership, and fostering academic excellence while delivering crucial community service and localized advocacy initiatives throughout the state.

With a powerful footprint consisting of over 900 active members and 26 local chapters, Alpha Ohio maintains a dynamic network that spans both undergraduate and professional spheres. The district features 17 college chapters stationed across prominent Ohio universities alongside 8 alumni chapters designed to uphold a lifelong commitment to brotherhood and mentorship. Through unified philanthropic and community actions, this extensive network collaborates continuously to build sustainable local progress and shape the next generation of civic leaders.
