About Us

Goodwill Industries of Ohio is a collaborative network of nonprofit organizations united by a shared commitment to transforming lives through the power of work. Across the state — from Northwest Ohio to Wayne and Holmes Counties — Goodwill builds dignity and enhances quality of life for individuals and families by providing work-oriented training programs professionally designed to help people overcome personal barriers to employment.

Goodwill’s retail stores, which accept donated clothing, furniture, electronics, and household items, generate the revenue that funds free community services such as Job Connection Centers offering resume writing, skills assessment, career coaching, and job placement assistance. While most Ohioans recognize Goodwill as a retail chain, the organization’s deeper impact lies in creating pathways to independence and self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
