
Joe Mallory is the President of the Cincinnati Branch NAACP, and former Vice Mayor of the City of Forest Park.
Joe, served in the U.S. Navy with the Multi-National Peacekeeping force in Beirut, Lebanon. After the U.S. Navy, Joe was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, for 15 years, serving as a Union Officer with the National Association of Letter Carriers as an Arbitration Advocate handling hundreds of arbitrations, mediation, and grievance cases.
After leaving the Postal Service, Joe began work as an Election Administrator with the Hamilton County Board of Elections for nearly 20 years, responsible for management and operation of all aspects of Absentee/Early Voting, Precinct Election Officials and Polling Places. He also ran
voter education and outreach. He was appointed to the Ohio Board of Voting Machine Examiners in April 2021; and was appointed last year to the Board of the Ohio Association of Election Officials and serves as a Board Member with the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
Additionally, he serves on the Board of The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (UMADAOP) of Ohio. The establishment of UMADAOP in 1980 was spearheaded by Joe’s father, the late William L. Mallory Sr., former Majority Leader of the Ohio House of Representatives. Joe also serves on the Community Advisory Board of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office, the Convention Facilities Authority and the Duke Energy Advisory Council.
